Data and lists

Import contacts, voter files, and CRM exports

Drop a file, check the detected columns, and import. Duplicates are merged.

Open Contacts or Data and choose Import contacts. Any CSV, tab, or pipe separated file works, up to 4 GB. Big files stream in, so you can import a statewide voter file from a laptop.

What happens to your file

  • WoodX recognizes common layouts (state voter files, L2, TargetSmart, i360, Aristotle, NationBuilder, ZoomInfo, Lusha, Seamless.AI, Data Axle, HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, and Google Contacts) and maps the columns for you. Check the mapping before importing.
  • Names and addresses in all caps become normal case, phone numbers are cleaned, ZIP codes are trimmed to five digits, and parties and birth years are read.
  • People who already exist are updated, not duplicated. WoodX matches by voter or record ID, then email, then phone, then name and address.
  • Optionally add everyone to a list or tag everyone in the import.

Vote history

Columns for past elections (like GENERAL_2024 or E2022P) are read as vote history. WoodX tags turnout for you: Super voter, Regular voter, Sporadic voter, Did not vote in recent generals, Primary voter, and New registrant. Use these tags in segments.

The file must have a header row: the first line names the columns.
