Data and lists
Getting your state's voter file
Where to request the official list in every state, and the rules for using it.
Data, Political lists every state and DC: which office sells the list, how to request it, what it costs, who may buy it, and how it may be used. Each entry shows its sources and whether every detail was confirmed. Fees and rules change, so confirm with the office before you buy.
Rules that apply everywhere
- Voter data is for political and election purposes only. Never use it to sell products.
- No state allows reselling or giving away its voter list.
- Some states require a signed affidavit or limit buyers to candidates, parties, and committees.
WoodX asks you to confirm these rules when you import a voter file, and you can set voter data to delete itself after the election in Data, Compliance. Data, Political also lists voter data vendors if you would rather buy a cleaned, enhanced file.
