Lists, segments, and tags

Group people by hand with lists, or by rules with segments.

Lists are groups you build yourself. Segments are saved rules that update on their own as contacts change. Tags are labels on a person, like Volunteer or Yard sign.

Build a segment

  1. In Contacts, choose the plus next to Segments.
  2. Add rules: a tag, list, city, party, precinct, district, turnout, job title, and more.
  3. Choose whether people must match all rules or any rule.

The live count shows how many people match. Use segments as campaign audiences and for volunteer texting.

Quick views

Contacts also has built in views: All contacts, Can receive email, Can receive texts, and Opted out of something. WoodX AI can suggest segments from your data too.
