Peer to peer volunteer texting

Volunteers send one personal text at a time from their own phone, and every text is logged.

Volunteer texting in Phone lets your team send personal, one at a time texts. It is the right choice when you do not have consent for automated texts.

How it works

  1. Staff create a batch in Phone, Volunteer texting: a name, a script with merge fields, and the lists or segments to text.
  2. Volunteers open the batch on their phone and claim a few people at a time. WoodX shows each person with the script filled in.
  3. The volunteer taps the text. It opens in their phone's own Messages app, ready to go, and they press send themselves.
  4. Back in WoodX, they mark it sent or skipped. Every text is logged, and staff see progress per volunteer.

Opt outs still apply: people who replied STOP or are on your suppression list never appear in an assignment.
