Register for 10DLC

Carriers require a registered brand and campaign to text from local numbers.

US carriers require every business or organization that texts from local 10 digit numbers to register. Unregistered texts are filtered or blocked. WoodX walks you through it per workspace in Phone, Compliance.

Steps

  1. Brand: your legal name, EIN or tax ID, address, website, and a contact. This is who is texting.
  2. Campaign: what you send (for example, volunteer updates or get out the vote), sample messages, and how people opt in.
  3. Submit. Carriers usually review within a few days, and the status shows in Phone, Compliance.

Political campaigns

Candidates, parties, and political committees register as political and need a Campaign Verify token. Get it from campaignverify.org, then paste it into the brand form.
