Warm up a new sender
Start small so mailbox providers learn to trust a new address or domain.
Mailbox providers are suspicious of a new address that suddenly sends thousands of emails. Warm up builds trust step by step.
- New mailboxes start with warm up on: 50 emails the first day, growing over about two weeks. The sender card shows Warming up and today's allowance.
- Turn warm up on for any new domain too. It is recommended for new domains.
- Campaigns that would go over today's allowance are flagged in the composer, and the rest waits for the next sender or the next day.
- Send your most engaged people first: recent supporters, volunteers, and people who opened lately.
Choosing a slower speed under Review and send also helps. Throttling protects your sender reputation and keeps replies manageable.
