Texting rules: consent, STOP, and quiet hours

How WoodX keeps text campaigns within the rules.

WoodX builds texting compliance in, so a mistake does not turn into a fine. Settings are in Phone, Compliance.

Consent

Marketing and automated texts need prior consent under the TCPA. WoodX tracks consent for each phone number: import a consent column with your contacts or collect it on signup forms. Turn on Require text consent to send only to people with consent on record.

STOP, HELP, and START

  • STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT opts the person out right away, and they get one confirmation.
  • HELP gets an automatic reply with who you are and how to opt out.
  • START or UNSTOP opts them back in.

Opt outs are synced across every number in your workspace, so a person who opts out from one number never hears from another.

Quiet hours and limits

Texts only go out between 8am and 9pm in the recipient's time zone, by default. Sending is rate limited to what your registration allows, and Do Not Call numbers are scrubbed before every send.
